Coast Guard to Launch Flare off of Leadbetter Beach 
Today between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., the Coast Guard Auxiliary will shoot a large parachute flare off Leadbetter Beach for training purposes. It will be very bright, and will take a minute or two to float down to the water. If you observe this, please do not call 911.
