Moraga Police have responded to recent auto burglaries and auto thefts that could have been avoided with better attention to personal security. Please help thwart criminal activity and always remove all articles from your vehicles and never leave keys in vehicles. Criminals will go up and down residential streets checking for unlocked cars and then enter to look for property and keys. If keys are found, they steal the car. If no keys are found, they steal any property that has any value. If they find a car that is locked, but they can see something of value in the car, they will break a window to gain entry and steal your property.
Please prevent becoming a victim and always keep cars secure and free of any visible property.
