DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ARREST
A Marshall County male has been arrested and charged with two domestic violence related offenses.
“32 year old Christopher Ray Tompkins, of Arab, was booked into the Detention Center on Wednesday, March 14th. He was charged with two counts of second degree domestic violence by strangulation, which is a felony,” states Investigator Tracey Bishop.
Bishop says Ray allegedly strangled and beat the female victim on two different occasions.
Both incidents occurred at a residence on Durham Road in Altoona. The first incident took place on March 2nd. The victim sought care at a local hospital. The second incident took place on March 12th.
After the second incident the female victim was taken to a safe place.
Tompkins is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
