Harper Woods Police officers have four in custody as a result of a large fight, shots fired on Kenosha.
Shortly after 6:00 pm this evening, Harper Woods officers responded to numerous 911 calls reporting 12 to 15 people fighting in the street in the 19700 block of Kenosha. While officers were en route, they received information that shots were being fired at the location. On officers’ arrival, several groups of teens fled on foot, two other groups of teens left in two vehicles at a high rate of speed. Officers began pursuing the suspects on foot and were able to apprehend four males on Moross, west of Harper. While officers were conducting an investigation of the suspects, they reported multiple gunshots near their location, south of Moross.
Officers took the suspects into custody and they were brought to the Harper Woods Police Department. Officers recovered three spent shell casings in the street on Kenosha; they have not yet located the weapon. There are no reported injuries at this time. Harper Woods detectives are investigating.
