Weather Alert

Due to recent developments in the upcoming severe weather forecast, The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office has been working all day with local and county offices to prepare for possible severe weather that is predicted to arrive in the Hardin County area over the next 6 to 24 hours. This severe weather is predicted to bring high winds up to 60 MPH, severe thunder storms, large hail, as well as having the potential for tornado activity.

One of the agencies we have contacted is the Hardin County Red Cross to assure that if the need arises that there are ample shelters for potential victims of this severe weather.
It is not our intention to create fear in the community, but to provide you information to make Hardin County residents aware of potential dangers, and that we are working diligently to prepare for such a threat.

If severe weather comes to your area please take the appropriate shelter. Tune in to your local radio, television or weather stations for updates as they become available.
