Crime Report for January 16TH, 2012 thru January 31ST, 2012.

01/18/2012- 60 North Territorial- Shell Gas- Shoplifting- The clerk reports that a subject walked into the store opened the donut display and walked out eating the donut without paying for it. The clerk obtained the license plate and signed a waiver of prosecution for the donut. The store manager only wanted the owner of the vehicle trespassed.

01/22/2012- 500 Block of Garnet- Larceny from Auto- The owner reports that an unknown subject broke the window out of his vehicle and stole his laptop. The owner offered up a suspect and a subsequent interview ruled him out at the culprit. After advising the owner of information obtained from the alleged suspect the owner decided to end the case and just fix his window.

01/23/2012- 8000 Block of Main St- Larceny Of Power Tools- The victim reports that an unknown subject entered his locked gated business and removed power tools that were stored in the yard. The follow up investigation developed a suspect and a subsequent arrest of the same subject and charges being submitted to the Washtenaw County Prosecutors Office.

01/24/2012- 9000 Block of Lincoln Dr- Breaking and Entering- The victims report that they were doing interior remodeling on the vacant home and an unknown subject entered the house and removed several thousand dollars worth of power tools and other assorted tools. The case is currently under investigation by the responding officer.

01/26/2012- 8000 Block of Main St- Breaking and Entering- The victim reports that while he was in town running errands and unknown subject entered his residence and removed an Apple I-pod and a laptop computer. There are currently no witnesses and no suspects in the case.

01/27/2012- 8000 Block of Main St- Telephone Harassment- The victim reports receiving harassing phone calls at her place of employment. Officer obtained the telephone number and it returned to a known out-of-the-country scam. Case was closed.

01/30/2012- 300 Block of East Shore Dr- Damaged Property- The victim reports finding damage to her vehicle. An unknown subject used a key or other item to scratch the side of her vehicle. The victim had no idea who why this happened. The case is under investigation by the responding officer
