SANTA BARBARA, CA – 2/22/2012 – February 21st, 2012. During the past two months, a male gunman has committed a string of armed robberies at downtown City Parking Lot kiosks. The dates/times/locations are as follows:
• Tuesday, January 3rd, at 3:59 p.m., to the kiosk at City Lot 2, 900 Chapala Street.
• Friday, January 20th, at 8:40 p.m., to the kiosk at City Lot 4, 1100 Chapala Street.
• Tuesday, February 21st, at 4:01 p.m., to the kiosk at City Lot 7, 1100 Anacapa Street.
In each robbery, the suspect approached the lone kiosk operator armed with a handgun. The suspect obtained cash from the register and fled on foot. On two occasions, the robbery was witnessed by a citizen in a vehicle who was approaching the kiosk to leave the parking lot.

The suspect is described as a male, medium height and build, light to medium skin complexion, and wearing dark clothing. In each case the suspect covered his face with a cloth. The amount of cash stolen is not being disclosed at this time. No one was hurt in these robberies. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Bryan Jensen at 805-897-2335.
