Modesto, CA – At 3:01 PM today Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Shiva’s Motel in the 700 Block of S. 9th Street for a subject who had been shot. When deputies arrived to the motel parking lot they found a black male adult with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead on scene. Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and trying to figure out what led up to the deceased victim being shot. It is early in the investigation and the victim has not been identified.
