A 9 year old female has died after a head-on two vehicle crash in the1100 block of Glenwood Drive in West Monroe.
West Monroe Police Officers responded to the crash on Friday 02-19-2012 at approximately 9pm. The investigation revealed that a 2012 Jeep Liberty was traveling south in the 1100 block of Glenwood Drive. when, a 1995 Ford F250 traveling north attempted to make a left-hand turn into a private drive, entering the path of the Jeep resulting in impact.
The driver of the Jeep was Tiffany Davis, 34 of West Monroe. The victim was one of two (2) passengers inside the 2012 Jeep. The victim sustained severe head injuries and was transported to Glenwood Medical Center where she was air lifted to LSU Shreveport. She later succumbed to her injuries on Sunday at approximately 10:00am.
The driver of the pick-up was identified as Bill Huey, 26 of West Monroe. Mr. Huey was treated at the scene and released.
Although alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in this crash, routine toxicology results are still pending.
No citations have been issued at this time. The crash report and investigation will be submitted to the Ouachita Parish District Attorney’s Office for their review.
