The North Aurora Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in a recent string of paintball shooting incidents in North Aurora's far west side. There have been 20 incidents since Feb. 12th where the suspect(s) shot houses and parked vehicles with paint ball guns. All of the incidents occurred in the Tanner Trails and Orchard Estates subdivisions.

There has been no permanent damage but firing any gun (paintball or otherwise) in this manner is unlawful, impacts our residents' quality of life, and may cause damage or personal injury.

The majority of the incidents were reported on Monday, Feb. 20th and occurred on Sunday, Feb. 19th., probably during the evening hours.

The suspect vehicle was described as a Silver Cadillac CTS. A picture of a similar vehicle is attached (but is not THE suspect vehicle).

Please be on the look out for this vehicle, probably with more than one subject inside, and call police as soon as possible if you discover or witness any further paintball shootings. Keep in mind that the suspects may switch vehicles or move to a different part of the community.

Do not attempt to stop, apprehend, or question the suspects. Instead, call police and provide a vehicle description (color, make, model, # doors, license plate), occupant descriptions (age, race, hair color & length, facial hair, and clothing being worn), and their last known location and direction of travel.

Call 911 if the incident is in progress or just occurred. Call 630-897-8705 and choose option 1 if the incident already happened.
