Inert Grenade Recovered at Recyling Plant in Pico Rivera
Pico Rivera Sheriff’s Station Deputies responded to the 8400 block of Loch Lomond Dr, Pico Rivera, (dba: Waste Management Recycling) regarding a found “live” grenade.
The informant stated workers at the location found the device during a sorting process of collected waste. An evacuation of the area was conducted.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Arson and Explosives investigators took possession of the device at 5:55pm. The Arson & Explosives Detail will be conducting the investigation. After further investigation it was determined that the grenade was inert (not live).
