South Pasadena Police Investigating Sexual Assault Of Female Resident

On 2-8-12 at about 2:50am, an 18 year-old female victim was asleep in a bedroom in her residence in the 600 block of Monterey Rd. She was awakened by an unknown male suspect in her room who sexually assaulted her. The incident was reported to the South Pasadena Police Department during the evening of 2-9-12 and an investigation was immediately launched in an effort to identify and arrest the suspect. The preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect forced entry into the victim’s residence.

The suspect is described as a male white adult 40-50 years old, brown eyes, curly dark brown hair, 5’11"-6’1”, 180-200 lbs. with facial hair and wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. A composite rendering of the suspect is attached to this release.

Officers from the SPPD and forensic experts from the Pasadena Police Department processed the scene and successfully recovered physical evidence. Currently, every available resource is being utilized in this investigation.
