Crime Prevention Tip: Most residential burglaries occur on weekdays. A common tactic for burglars is to knock on the door to see if anyone is at home. If the resident answers, the suspect will make up some excuse for bothering them, such as looking for a lost dog or trying to find an old friend who once lived in the neighborhood. If no one answers, the suspect will look for any way to get inside the house. If you are at home during the day and see someone suspicious in your neighborhood, please call the PHPD so we can check them out.
