At approximately 12:02 PM today, the Prince George Communication Center received information from the Town of Waverly that one of the Waverly Police Officers was in pursuit of a vehicle for speeding through their town on Rt. 460. Officers from Prince George County responded to the area of Rt. 460 to assist in holding back traffic and to assist in the apprehension. The suspect vehicle was stopped when it turned onto Rives Rd and was forced to stop for a train. The driver was taken into custody by Waverly Police Dept. No other vehicles were involved or damaged in this incident.
