SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT

On February 2, 2012 at 3:00pm, The Altamonte Springs Police Department responded to the area of SR 434 and San Marie Ave, in reference to a suspicious incident. A 14-year old female juvenile reported she was walking home from school, when approached by a Hispanic male. The vehicle is described as a white pick up truck (possibly Ford), with a homemade wooden bed.

The juvenile stated the male appeared to be in his 30’s or 40’s, tan skinned, dark hair, and no facial hair. He made several comments to her in Spanish, which made her feel uncomfortable. The male continued to follow the juvenile, asking her to get in his truck. The juvenile ignored the male’s attempts to converse, and walked up to a neighbor’s house, at which time police were notified.

This is the second reported incident on this date involving the same circumstances. In both cases the description of the male and vehicle are similar. Anyone who may have additional information, or knows the identity of this male is asked to contact the Altamonte Springs Police Department at (407) 339-2441, or the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office at (407) 665-6650.
