Additional information about last night's robbery at Family Discount at 1120 SW15th: One suspect was described as a black male about 20 years old, 5ft. 8, slim, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and a black ski mask. The second one was about the same age as the first one, but was 6ft. to 6ft. 2 in height. He was slender and dressed like the first one described. The third suspect was younger and shorter than the first two, possibly about 5ft. 6 inches tall. He was not wearing a ski mask, and was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. He had very short hair. At least one of the men was armed with a handgun. The three suspects fled north in the alley east of the store. Anyone with information on this robbery is urged to call the Amarillo Police Department or call Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.

On January 31, at about 10:45 PM, officers were dispatched to Family Discount Store at 1120 SW 15th on a robbery. The clerk reported that he was locking the doors at the close of business when he was approached by three black males who produced an object the clerk thought was a weapon. The black males ordered the clerk to open the doors, and they all entered into the store. The suspects demanded the money from the store. They also took cigarettes and personal property from the clerk. The three suspects were described as being between 5’8 and 6’2, slim build. They were dressed in dark clothes and ski masks. They left on foot in an unknown direction. No one was injured in this incident and there have been no arrests.
