Margaret Key, 87 years old, left her home on 1/20/12, at approximately 5:30 pm, heading to an address in the Browns Valley area of the City of Napa. She was driving her white 2001 Buick LeSabre, license 6HIL809. She was expected back at her residence at 9:30 pm, but never made it to her initial destination or back home.
Throughout the weekend Napa County Sheriff’s Deputies, Detectives, Napa County Search and Rescue and Aero Squadron personnel all searched for Margaret Key.
On January 23, 2012, at about 2:30 pm, members of the Napa County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team located Margaret Key’s Buick, stuck in the mud about a half mile down a dirt road, in the 1800 block of Mt. Veeder Road. Margaret was found deceased nearby. There is nothing to indicate that her death was anything other than a tragic accident.
