Glen Gardner Man Arrested For Sexual Assault on a Child
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III announced the arrest of one individual as a result of a joint investigation conducted by Detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the New Jersey State Police Washington Barracks.
Prosecutor Kearns stated, “Joseph F. Doscher, age 43, of Glenn Avenue, Glen Gardner, was arrested and charged with one count of Aggravated Sexual Assault (1st degree) and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2nd degree) for multiple incidents involving a child victim, under the age of 13. The incidents occurred on diverse dates between August 2009 and January 2012 in the Borough of Glen Gardner.”
As a result of evidence obtained by Detectives, Doscher was arrested on January 19, 2012. The Honorable Stephen B. Rubin, J.S.C. set bail at $150,000. The Judge also ordered that Doscher have no-contact with the victim as a provision of his bail. He was lodged at the Hunterdon County Jail and is awaiting a first court appearance.
The filing of a criminal complaint is merely a step in the criminal justice process. The defendant is presumed innocent until the matter is resolved in a court of law.
