SEXUAL ABUSE ARREST
One individual has been arrested and charged with a child abuse related offense, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Dale Emmett Ramsey, 63, of Gadsden, has been arrested and charged with one count of first degree sodomy and one count of sex abuse of a child under the age of 12, both are felonies,” states Investigator Carla Carroll.
The abuse allegedly took place in December 2011 to an 8 year-old female at Ramsey’s residence on Fairview Road, Gadsden.
Ramsey is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
Child interviews related to this case were conducted at the James M. Barrie Center for Children.
