Bank Forgery & Theft Suspect, Cody K. Aaron - ARRESTED
On 1/12/2012 the West Monroe Police Department began investigating Cody K. Aaron as a suspect in multiple Theft and Forgery crimes which had occurred within the city of West Monroe and also in Ouachita Parish.
The investigation revealed that Aaron would drive through subdivisions and apartment complexes and would remove residents outgoing mail from their mail boxes. Aaron would then add his name to payments for resident’s bills and he would then proceed to the bank where the stolen check was drafted on and would cash them, fraudulently, obtaining the money.
Aaron was subsequently located and identified as our suspect in this incident where he was taken into custody by the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Department and was booked for (8) counts of Forgery and (2) counts of Theft.
West Monroe Police ask you to pay special attention to your checking accounts in the future. If y ou mailed payment of bills by check, make sure that your actual payment was received. Should you notice any fraudulent activity of checks made payable to a business or institution that was cashed by an individual please contact your respective Law Enforcement Agency to report the incident.
