The following information was forwarded to the Marina del Rey Sheriff’s Department by alert neighbors. A red haired woman was seen casing houses with another woman, no further description on the second woman. They were seen traveling in an older model brown van, possibly a Chevrolet. The people were apparently traveling in both lower and upper Ladera. If a person answered their doorbell or if they were confronted, the redhead stated that she was looking for Louise and they must have had the wrong house. The redhead is believed to be white, but could have also been a very fair-skinned black or latino. The redhead was seen driving the van. Thanks to all who provided additional information. The Sheriff’s Department advises residents to use your residential alarms even if you are at home. Additionally if someone knocks at your door or rings your doorbell, acknowledge them verbally but never open your door to strangers. The Marina del Rey Sherriff's station is activity soliciting additional leads. Please contact the Marina del Rey Sheriff’s Department at (310) 482-6000, if you see the van or the women in the neighborhood.
