Advisory

Rain will change to SNOW after 5pm. Melting SNOW will FREEZE to roadways. Watch for ICE patches and slow down. Road crews are ready.

• The Weather Service has issued a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for our area until Noon tomorrow.
• Rain showers will change over to SNOW later this afternoon and temperatures are expected to drop quickly – below freezing.
• Road surfaces are above freezing right now and rapidly dropping air temperatures along with snow melting, will cause FREEZING and ICE patches on our roadways.
• The change over from rain to snow is expected after 5pm for the NKY area.
• Public Works crews are ready and waiting but understand that “primary” roadways come first!
• These include Interstates, U.S. Hwy’s, and major State routes.
• Secondary roadways and subdivision streets are treated last if traffic problems persist.
• Leave early.
• Drive SLOWLY and drive CAREFULLY!
• Don’t go back out unless you have to.
• If you are involved in an accident call 911 FIRST! Please!
