CHILD ABUSE ARRESTS

A husband and wife have been arrested and charged with a child abuse related offense, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Johnnie Edwin Fox, 44, and Millie Kate Fox, 24, of Alabama City, have been arrested and each charged with two counts of child abuse, which is a felony,” states Investigator Carla Carroll.
Allegedly, the couple physically abused a 6 year-old female and 3 year-old male over a two year time period. The abuse took place at a residence on Patterson Place, Coates Bend.
“The Sheriff’s Office has always made it a priority to take care of those who cannot care for themselves,” states Sheriff Entrekin. “It saddens our hearts every time we hear of abuse to innocent children.”
Both Johnnie and Millie are currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $20,000 bond each.
Child interviews related to this case were conducted at the James M. Barrie Center for Children.
