Advisory

Snow Advisory in the Alexandria area. Roads are slick! SLOW DOWN, Leave Early & Take Your Time! We currently have a high accident rate.

This snow was not predicted and we are now experiencing a high volume of accidents. People are driving way too fast for road, which means just because you are driving at the speed limit, the road conditions require a slower speed – so SLOW DOWN!

Public Works crews have been called but remember, this is a holiday and response is slower than usual especially since this was not expected. City, County & State crews have been called and some are on the roadway already but it will take time to hit all the streets.
Please be patient with us.

If you are involved in an accident and your cars are drivable, please remove them from the roadway and call police. Expect a delayed response for non-injury accidents. Also, give Emergency Vehicles a wide berth as heavy equipment like Fire & Life Squads take longer to stop.

SLOW DOWN

LEAVE EARLY
