Harper Woods Police detectives are investigating shots fired at one of our officers Sunday morning. 
Shortly before 2:00 am Sunday morning, a Harper Woods sergeant was patrolling Kelly Road near Washtenaw when he heard three gunshots fired in close proximity to his scout car. The sergeant took cover and requested assistance from backup units. An investigation conducted once the scene was secure resulted in the officers recovering three spent rounds that hit a building directly above the windshield of the scout car. Officers conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate any suspects. The sergeant was not injured in this incident. We are seeking information from the public on the identity of those responsible for this crime.
