2021 vehicles, 1810 drivers checked, 10 Arrests at Lynwood DUI checkpoint Friday night

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Risk Management Bureau’s Traffic Services Detail conducted a DUI/DL Checkpoint on Friday, December 23, 2011 as part of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s commitment to public safety.

This checkpoint was one of many that have been or will be conducted throughout the year in Lynwood.

The location of Friday’s checkpoint was on Long Beach Blvd. at the 105 Freeway, from 7:00PM – 3:00AM (Friday night, early Saturday)

The goal of the DUI/DL Checkpoint was removing impaired drivers and to bring awareness to the public of the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

1 DUI - Alcohol Suspect Arrested
1 DUI - Drugs (Marijuana) Suspect Arrested
1 Illegal Possession of Narcotics Suspect Arrested
1 Felony Suspect Arrested for Grand Theft Auto
6 Suspended Drivers were Arrested and Sent to Court
