Local Ex Springs man sentenced today on April 30th Burglary at Riteway Auto Service. 
A local man that was charged with burglary and tampering, after an April 30th, 2011 incident, was convicted and sentenced today in the Clay County Circuit Court.
Keith W. Tackett, now 24 yoa, plead gulity to both charges on 11-02-2011 and was sentenced this morning to the Missouri Department of Corrections, on a 120 day shock incarceration program. Tackett has been incarcerated in the Clay County Jail since his arrest on April 30th.
If you recall, two area Excelsior Springs businesses (Riteway Auto and Good Times Restaurant & Lounge) were burglarized early Saturday morning, April 3th, in the 1900 block of West Jesse James Road. At Riteway, surveillance camera footage captured Tackett rummaging through the office area and then stealing the business’s service truck from service shop area at about 4:00 AM. The truck was located shortly afterwards on McCleary Road near H Highway by the Clay County Sheriff's Department.
Local police were able to recognize Tackett on the surveillance camera footage and took the suspect into custody at his residence by about 9:30 AM on Saturday. Tackett's bond was originally set at $60,000.00.
