Santa Barbara City Fire reports that there has been a fatal accident on 101 Southbound between Castillo and Garden.
According to the CHP website this occurred just before 4PM this afternoon.
Traffic has been reduced to one lane causing significant slowing. Consider using surface streets and avoid the freeway if at all possible.
