Crystal Lake in partnership with Elgin Recycling, will be accepting holiday lights for recycling through 01/31/12.

The City of Crystal Lake, in partnership with Elgin Recycling, will be accepting holiday lights for recycling through Tuesday, January 31, 2012.

The recycling program will accept all holiday string lighting, which include mini-lights (or Italian lights), C7 lights, C9 lights, rope lights, LED lights, and extension cords. All colors and lengths will be accepted. The City cannot accept garland, live greens, wreathes, or other non-recyclable materials.

Residents can drop off their unwanted holiday lights at City Hall, located at 100 W. Woodstock Street, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Recycling bins will be located next to the Finance/Administration window.
