The Huntley Police Department has been contacted about a scam that is hitting our area. Officials say that residents are receiving “jury duty” questionnaires that look very legitimate (but are NOT). The scam questionnaires are asking residents to fill out personal information (including social security numbers) and to mail them back in a return envelope that is provided. The personal information provided in the questionnaire is used for identity theft purposes. McHenry and Kane County do mail out jury questionnaires but they never ask for social security numbers. If you receive such a questionnaire please check it closely. The mailing address for Kane and McHenry Counties are listed below.
