Woman Arrested for Taking a GPS from a Parked Vehicle 
On Monday, 05 December 2011 at 7:21 pm police were sent to 377 Smith Street on a reported theft from a motor vehicle. Victim reported to police that she parked her vehicle in the back lot of 418 Smith Street at approximately 7:20 pm. A witness reported that Marva Mathis open the door to the vehicle and remove a white Nextar GPS and a pair of gloves. The witness quickly grabbed Mathis in front of 377 Smith Street until police arrived on scene.
Marva Mathis was charged with theft from a vehicle and bail was set by the Honorable Judge George Boyd at $2,500.00 with no 10%.
