On Sunday, 20 November 2011 at 9:54pm the Perth Amboy Police were dispatched to the Victory Bridge on a call of a man on the bridge. Upon arriving Officer's Danny Gonzales and Luis Perez observed a man, later identified as Thomas Schaderisis of 187 Madison Avenue, Perth Amboy, New Jersey holding onto the bridge with one hand; he had placed his shoes and a coat on the ground. Both officers continued to speak to Mr. Schaderisis as he threatens to jump off the bridge. The Officers listened to his family problems and his health conditions. He then requested a telephone call be made to his Mother. Officers complied and placed the call on the police car speaker. As he focused on the conversation he was pulled over by the following Officers L. Perez, D. Gonzales, G. Simao, Sgt. Graham, and Sgt. R. Rosario. He was then transported to the Raritan Bay Medical Center for treatment and observation.
