Crime: Penal Code Section 459/Residential Burglary
Location: Holland Circle, Walnut Creek
Date and Time: 11/11/11 at 11:45 P.M.
Suspect: Kyle Gingras
25 years old
Resident of Petaluma

Narrative: On 11/11/11 at approximately 11:45 p.m., a homeowner on Holland Circle returned home to find a man in her garage attempting to steal a motorcycle. The suspect fled when confronted. The homeowner called the police and followed the suspect’s vehicle. Officers were able to catch up with the suspect vehicle in Pleasant Hill and take him into custody. The suspect was identified as Kyle Gingras, a 25 year old resident of Petaluma.

Gingras is currently being held at the Martinez Detention Facility with a bail of $50,000.

There has been a rash of residential burglaries recently in northwestern area of town (commonly referred to as the Larkey area). Residents are encouraged to contact the police department if they see suspicious activity in their neighborhood.
