The LAPD Pacific Division is releasing information about a recent Burglary Arrest in Mar Vista
On November 8, 2011 at approximately 3:45 PM, LAPD Pacific Division officers arrested three suspects who were observed breaking into a residence on 1200 block of Preston Way in Mar Vista.
The suspects broke into the victim's residence by prying open the back door. Once inside, two suspects ransacked the residence for property while the third suspect waited outside as the getaway driver. Once the two suspects left the residence, they were then picked up by suspect-3.
Prior to being arrested, the suspects lead the arresting Officers on a brief vehicle pursuit that ended a few blocks away. All three suspects were arrested for residential burglary and transported to Pacific Station. All of the victim’s property was recovered then later returned to them.
LAPD would like to remind you that residential Burglaries similar to this occur every day. You can help reduce your chances of being a victim of one of these crimes by being diligent about locking and securing your residences and vehicles. Also remember to never leave valuables or bags in your vehicles, especially in plain sight and to report suspicious activity to the police.
