1st Ever Emergency Alert System (EAS) Nationwide Test
The federal government will conduct the 1st nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) - Wednesday, November 9, 1pm.
The test will last up to 3 1/2 minutes and during this period, regularly-scheduled television, radio, cable, and satellite shows will be interrupted.
The National Blue Alert Notification System, Police, Fire, and 911 Communications would like to reassure that this event is just a test, and not a real emergency alert.
