It’s unfortunate, but some people steal. Take steps to ensure that your property is carefully watched or secured at all times. If you don’t absolutely need something during the school day, leave it at home. We have noted a significant increase in theft of property (cell phones, iPods, gold chains) taken from juveniles in the Olympic community. Most of these crimes can be prevented by taking an extra minute to secure valuables. If you are walking, waiting for the bus or just standing around, pay attention to your surroundings and conceal your valuable property, do not be a victim of theft. Most thefts are the result of opportunists, not necessarily organized criminals. Secure your valuables when you are out in public. . Take the time to register your smart phone and subscribe to GPS tracking like the Find My Phone application, available with many phones. Taking a few extra moments to subscribe before your property is taken could lead to the immediate recovery of your important investment. Olympic is a great place to live, work and go to school, these simple steps can help protect your property.
