11/3/2011 - POLICE INVESTIGATING BURGLARIES

The Moorestown Police Department is investigating three residential burglaries that occurred in the Golfview Rd. and Park Dr. area since October 19th. The timing on the burglaries range from during the day, evening, to night time. The burglars have been targeting jewelry and flatware that is hard to trace and easily sold for scrap value.

10/19/2011. Residents returned home to a residence in the 700 block of Golfview Rd. after being at work/school during the day to find forced entry through a rear casement window. Jewelry was taken and a parcel post delivery was missing from the front step.

10/31/2011. Residents returned home to a residence in the 800 Block of Golfview Rd. after being out with their grandchildren from 5:15-8pm to find forced entry through a smashed rear slider window. Jewelry and Flatware was taken.

11/2/2011. During the latest burglary occurring in the 300 block of Park Dr. at approx. 11:15 pm, Police responded to burglar alarm and found that entry was gained by smashing out a rear window. The resident’s audible burglar alarm deterred the burglar(s) from completing their crime. The resident was not home at the time.
