AVOID State St (Rt 56) near Fox River on Sun Nov 6th from 8am to 11am due to running race. Expect traffic delays. 
The North Aurora Police Department would like to announce potential traffic delays related to a half marathon running race being held in the Aurora and Fox Valley area on Sunday, November 6th.
The Aurora Half Marathon starts and ends in downtown Aurora. Runners will cross State St. (Rt. 56) near Monroe St. in North Aurora from approximately 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the assistance of uniformed North Aurora Police officers. During this time, there will be intermittent traffic backups while runners cross the road so motorists may want to choose an alternate route through the area.
Motorists that do travel through this area are asked to slow down and be aware of runners, police officers, and any other pedestrians in and around the roadway.
Alternate Fox River crossings are located at Sullivan Rd. in Aurora or Wilson St. in Batavia.
