Residents are urged to stay away from all utility on the ground or tangled in trees. Many are still live and very dangerous. 
The severity of this weekend's storm has resulted in an extremely high volume of incidents involving downed trees and utility wires. Many of these downed wires have not yet been disconnected by JCP&L and are still energized.
Residents should stay away from all utility wires on the ground and/or tangled in trees as handling these wires could result in serious injury or death. Just because wires are not burning or arcing, does not mean they are not energized and dangerous.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ALL DOWNED UTILITY WIRES.
JCP&L has crews working to disconnect the downed utility lines and restore power to its customers; however they have not yet been able to provide an accurate time for when power will be restored.
