SADDLE BROOK TOWNSHIP POWER OUTAGES:

The Township of Saddle Brook is experiencing power outages in various areas of the municipality. The outages are being caused by trees and tree limbs falling onto Public Service electric wires and disrupting power circuits. Some customers may experience potentially lengthy outages from Saturday, October 29th through Monday, October 31st. At this time there is no definitive time estimate from PSE&G when power will be restored..

Residents without electrical service should consider making alternative arrangements to stay elsewhere at this time including with other relatives and/or friends should power not be restored within a reasonable time. Temporary relocation and/or shelter will be made available to any resident at the Saddle Brook Senior Center on Caldwell Avenue if needed. Contact the Saddle Brook Police Department (201) 843-7000 if you would like to be temporarily relocated and for further arrangements.

Downed power wires should always be considered “live.” STAY AWAY FROM ALL DOWNED LINES. Do not approach or drive over a downed line and do not touch anything that it might be in contact with.

To report a power outage, call PSE&G’s Customer Service line: 1-800-436-PSEG and provide street address.

PSE&G electric crews work to restore power to the largest numbers of customers first, taking into account “priority” customers, such as hospitals and emergency facilities and customers on life-sustaining medical equipment. At the same time, the crews restore power to homes and businesses, starting with the circuits serving the largest number of customers.
