Montecito Firefighters to support Men's Cancer Awareness - participating in Movember (moustache + November).

On October 31st, participating Fire District Employees will be shaving their facial hair to participate in Movember. Movember (moustache + November) is a global movement that helps to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

On or near November 1st the pictures of our clean shaven participants will be posted to the Montecito Firemen’s Association webpage (montecitofirefighters.com) and Facebook page: www.facebook.com/MTOFirefighters.

For the rest of the month, they will groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. They will raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.

In the spirit of the competition, the participants will be soliciting sponsorship/donations to support men’s health awareness throughout the month. Donations can be made to sponsor “Best Moustache” and/or “Most Pitiful Moustache”. The winning “Best Moustache” and “Most Pitiful Moustache” will be selected by a local unbiased community member.

Sponsors will be competing for 1 of 2 great prizes:
Dinner (Pizza) and a Movie along with a Station show and tell at Montecito Fire headquarters for up to 8 people (at least 2 children) will go to the largest contributor.

A Spaghetti Dinner along with a Station show and tell at Montecito Fire headquarters for up to 8 people (at least 2 children) will be raffled from all donors/sponsors who pick either the winning “Best Moustache” or “Most Pitiful Moustache”. One winner will be randomly selected from all correct picks.

Donations/Sponsorships can made utilizing the Montecito Firefighters' Charitable Foundation through our Paypal account (payments should be made to [email protected]).
