Body Found In Long Beach Linked To Body Found In Norwalk, 2 Teens Arrested
Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives, while investigating a missing persons' report from the City Compton, have linked the discovery of the female body found on October 15, 2011 in the City of Norwalk, to that investigation.
On October 18, 2011, the family of a couple residing in the 16100 block of South Atlantic Boulevard in the City of Compton, reported the couple missing under suspicious circumstances. The family gave detectives the names of two teenage subjects to contact regarding the disappearance.
In the late evening of October 19, 2011, Homicide detectives received information from the subjects regarding the location of one of the missing people. They responded to a vacant lot at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Artesia Boulevard in the City of Long Beach where they discovered a shallow grave.
Thursday morning, officials from the Los Angeles County Coroner's Department arrived and recovered a body from the shallow grave.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives also received information from the subjects which linked them to the discovery of the woman's body in the 11800 block of Norwalk Boulevard in the City of Norwalk on October 15, 2011.
The investigation is continuing to determine the victims identities and exact causes of their deaths.
A 16-year old Hispanic male and a 15-year old Hispanic female have been booked for murder and are being held without bail at a local juvenile hall. The female teen is related to the missing couple, but their exact relationship has not been disclosed. The investigation is continuing.

LOG NO. 228, UPDATED INFORMATION
Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a body found in a vacant lot, which occurred Saturday, October 15, 2011, in the 11000 block of Norwalk Boulevard, Norwalk.
Detectives have learned that a foul odor led a passerby to a vacant parking lot, where they discovered the body, partially covered in a shallow grave. The passerby alerted Norwalk Sheriff's Station and deputy personnel responded to the location.
At this time, the body is only known as that of an unidentified female adult, who suffered an unknown cause of death.
The investigation is continuing.
