Santa Ana Police Detectives Arrest Suspect for multiple counts of Lewd and Lascivious acts with a child. 
Arrestee: Claudio Huerta Martinez, 44 year old, Santa Ana Resident
Victim: 9 year old girl
Location of Occurrence: 2200 Block S. Center, Santa Ana, California
Occurred: Between the months of September & October 2008
Reported: Victim’s parents report crimes to Officers during a community meeting at a local Elementary School.
Charges: 288(a) lewd and lascivious acts w/child (at least 3 counts per both victim and arrestee via their respective interviews)
Victim and victims’ parents told officers that arrestee MARTINEZ (their neighbor) had sexually assaulted/molested her on at least three occasions; whereas, all the incidents took place inside arrestee MARTINEZ’ apartment at 2200 Blk. Center, Santa Ana, during the months of September and October 2008 when the victim was approximately 7 years old. The sexual molestation consisted of severe, forced sexual acts.
On October 13, 2011, Detectives contacted MARTINEZ at his residence; whereas, he agrees to a voluntary interview at the police department. After questioning MARTINEZ with detailed acts of the incidents gathered from the victim’s interview, MARTINEZ made several admissions corroborating the victim’s allegations.
MARTINEZ was subsequently arrested for violation of 288(a) P.C. (Child Molest) and booked into SAPD Jail. Martinez was arraigned on Monday, October 17, 2011. At this point MARTINEZ remains in custody at Orange County Jail.
