On October 1, 2011, at approximately 2:55 PM, the Camarillo Police Department responded to Camarillo Jewelers at 381 Arneill Rd. The reporting party stated there was a gunshot victim at the location. Upon further investigation by deputies on scene, it was determined that the owner, Nazar Arakelian 73 yrs, had attempted to unload a handgun when it accidently discharged. The bullet struck the owner’s son, George Arakelian in the upper torso. There were no other victims.The victim was transported to Los Robles Regional Medical Center where he is currently undergoing medical treatment for his injuries.
