Members of the Special Investigations Bureau of the Perth Amboy Police Department executed a Municipal Court Search Warrant on the person of Steven Villanueva D.O.B. 11/27/1979 and his vehicle a 2000 Ford Ranger Pickup Truck at the corner of Market Street & Prospect Street . Villanueva had picked up a Heroin user named Victor Sanchez D.O.B. 07/09/1979 and were about to make a CDS transaction when they were stopped by Police . Sanchez had $28.00 in his hand that he was about to hand over to Villanueva, who was in possession of 150 decks of Heroin (3 bricks) at a street value of $2,250.00. Both were subsequently arrested and charged. Villanueva was transported to his residence at 23 Greenbrook Ave. in Keasbey, N.J. where a search of his residence was executed. Nothing of value was taken from the residence. Villanueva was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession with intent, Possession within a School zone & Public Park. Sanchez was charged with Conspiracy to possess Heroin, & Poss. of hypodermic needle. Approximately $300.00 was seized. The investigation was headed by Det. David Guzman.
