NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY INTEREST
NJ DEP BLUE ACRES PROGRAM
STATE ACQUISITION (BUYOUT) OF FLOOD PRONE PROPERTY

The Twp of Saddle Brook is advising all homeowners that may have interest in applying for the NJ DEP Blue Acres Program to voluntarily apply by application. The NJ DEP Blue Acres Program is a part of the larger Green Acres Program administered by the NJ DEP. The VOLUNTARY program provides for the STATE to consider acquiring properties that are prone to flooding and dedicate those properties for recreation or conservation purposes. Properties that are eligible for the Blue Acres program include those that have been damaged by, or may be prone to incurring damage caused by, storm-related flooding. An offer to participate must be officially submitted to the STATE in the form of an application. The on-line link for the application can be found at:

NOTE: All Blue Acres program applications must be copied to the Township of Saddle Brook, Attn: Municipal Offices, so as to coordinate the efforts of any interested applicants and the Township of Saddle Brook.
