On 9/19/11 at 1030 hours, WCPD Officers responded to a report of a residential burglary that occurred earlier that morning on Chantilly Court. The responsible stole a loaded firearm, ammunition and jewelry. Witnesses reported seeing a subject loitering in the neighborhood around the same time frame as the burglary.
Based on the information obtained, officers were able to identify a juvenile as a possible suspect. Investigators began looking for the juvenile and located him at 1455 hours in a parking garage in the 1200 block of Treat Blvd. The suspect fled on foot and after a short foot pursuit, was taken into custody by WCPD Detectives. The victim’s loaded firearm, extra ammunition and jewelry were all located on the suspect.
The suspect was booked into juvenile hall for residential burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of a loaded firearm.
