Theft suspects, with vehicle pursuit. Suspect photos attached.

DATE: Thursday, September 15, 2011

Lower Paxton Twp. Police responded to Kohl’s Department Store yesterday afternoon for a Retail Theft incident where the two perpetrators fled from store loss prevention officers. The subjects, a male and a female, were observed concealing a number of items including shoes and tights, but ran when confronted outside and entered a black Chrysler Sebring with West Virginia plates. The vehicle was spotted on Jonestown Rd. by an officer who radioed to other units that the vehicle was seen around S. Mountain Rd. Another officer then observed the vehicle on Nyes Rd. and pursued the vehicle briefly before losing sight of it. It was again spotted at Red Top Rd. and Nyes Rd. where officers attempted to box it in behind a dump truck. The vehicle was able to squeeze by one of the officers, narrowly missing the patrol vehicle. The Chrysler was found shortly thereafter crashed into a tree at Union Deposit Rd. and Cider Press Rd. The occupants had fled on foot into an adjacent wooded area. A search of the area failed to turn up the pair. Surveillance photos of the two in the store are attached.
