Police Urge Caution after Attempt Sexual Assault in Forestville

The Prince George's County Police Department is urging caution after an attempt sexual assault that occurred last week in Forestville.

On September 6, 2011, at approximately 12:00 a.m., a 22 year old female was walking home from a bus stop in the 6200 block Surrey Service Drive when a male suspect approached her from behind and threw her to ground in an attempt to sexually assault her. The victim put up a struggle and was able to flee from the suspect who fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a 25-30 year old black male with a dark complexion around 5'7" and weighing approximately 160-180lbs. He has a close haircut and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and dark denim jeans.
