10TH ANNIVERSARY OF SEPTEMBER 11 MEMORIAL SERVICE

PERTH AMBOY, NJ— Mayor Wilda Diaz invites the community to the 10th Anniversary of September 11 Memorial Ceremony. A mass/worship service will be taking place at twelve o'clock on Sunday. A memorial ceremony and monument unveiling is to follow at one o’clock. All events will be held at the City Hall Circle.

“This is a time for our families and our community to gather and pay respect to those men and women who were affected by the 9/11 attacks. There were families in Perth Amboy that were tragically affected and suffered a great loss of their loved ones. It’s a time to reflect as this year we dedicate a monument for a continuing remembrance. Please join us,” said Mayor Wilda Diaz.

The ceremony will honor the service of our first responders and remember the loss of two Perth Amboy community members, Isaias Rivera and Richard Rodriguez. The mass will be led by Commanding Officer John Gordon of the Perth Amboy Police Department Chaplain Corps., with the participation of several local houses of worship.
